National Honor Society collectets 102 pounds of school supplies!

Hopkins High School National Honor Society students get creative in supporting the Back-to-School program.

Thirty-one Hopkins High School National Honor Society students competed in a relay race from one end of Target to the other collecting school supplies to donate. The winning team filled a backpack with 22.5 pounds of supplies in 15 minutes. Through donations and the relay race, NHS rounded up 102 pounds of school supplies for Resource West.

At ICA Food Shelf and ResourceWest, we witnessed a 26 percent increase in people requiring our services from right here in the western suburbs.

Our clients are your neighbors who find themselves struggling to make ends meet.

Most of out clients work, but do not make enough money to cover the basic needs of their families.
